Please explain to me what the fuck is so great about Sigur Ros? Critics love them, indie-music fans love them, and now a freaking documentary?

Seriously. I've tried; I really have. In fact, I find their music to grow exceedingly annoying and cloying the more I listen to it.

Help me understand, people.

Sorry for the groan-inducing headline. Feeling punny today. Can't really decide how I feel about the new Hype Machine. Haven't really gotten into the new, social-network/interactive aspects of it yet, so perhaps I should reserve judgment until I do. Seems like the site wants to be more of a destination itself and less of a portal through which people journey on to various mp3 blogs to discover new music (which is how I have used it, and how I plan on continuing using it).

I actually liked the clean, simple look of the previous layout. The new one seems OK and certainly more colorful, but the Reader's Digest-esque font size is offputting to a certain extent.

Of course, all that really matters is that I'll still visit and use the site multiple times a day, so I guess reaction to the new layout/user experience is immaterial. But it's still kind of frustrating, feeling like you have to learn a site you're familiar with all over again.

Which one's your favorite? I find myself torn between Mood Syrup (mmm, sounds delicious! Do you put that on Personality Pancakes?) and Corpse Vomit. Can't decide which one I like more.
