Go away. Please.
Seriously.
Enough.
It's time.
You can still save some semblance of dignity and respect if you do what you know is the right thing for your party, your country, your family.
Drop out.
Walk away.
Concede.
Admit defeat.
Please.
Seriously.
With sore-loser Hillary supporters saying the way in which she's been treated by the media and by Obama supporters is based in sexist attitudes. Hillary gets in the act herself this morning, telling the Washington Post that she thinks sexism has been a huge issue for her to overcome throughout the primary.
Give me a break. I tell you what, Hills: If you think sexism is still so rampant in our country, especially among the media covering your campaign, why don't you just get your fat behind back into the kitchen and make me a sandwich!
This is different. Completely different. Why? I believe her. And, I believe she has every right in the world to make a statement like that with conviction without any fear of reprisal. McCain and Hillary and Rush and Glenn Beck and all these other turbos can feign shock and disappointment all they want, but if they sit and really think about it, how can they disagree with her.
Here's why it's different: This isn't your garden-variety white liberal guilt here. This isn't John Kerry or Joe Biden making that declaration. It's a black American female. She has the perspective that anyone else who wants to pillory her for what she said almost certainly does not have. A perspective built on slavery, institutional racism, informal racism, prejudicial justice systems, Tom Crow, voter disenfranchisement, Dred Scott...shall I go on? Or, should she want to look more recently in the past, I'm sure her husband's service as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago for more than a decade exposed her a lot of the suffering, hardships and challenges her fellow blacks face even today - enough, probably, to make her ask a lot of tough, hard questions about the state of the country she calls home.
This is why she has every right to say what she did - and why no one like a John McCain or Sean Hannity has any right to punish her for it. Because - this time, at least - it's different.
For weeks, the speculation was rampant: Will he run? Is it too soon? Can he really win? Can he mount a serious challenge to Hillary? He was the biggest domino yet to fall in the buildup to the 2008 presidential race. Exploratory trips to New Hampshire and Iowa only threw more fuel on the fire.
Well, yesterday's big news was a real indication that it indeed looks like he will run. He took the very important first step to doing just that, and it sent ripples through both parties not to mention the political punditry. The 2008 presidential race's great wild card is now, it seems, in the playoffs.
I speak, of course, of Dennis Kucinich, the adorable little Democratic congressman from Ohio. That mousy little scamp is at it again! It could take months to see how the impact of his presidential run is truly felt by his fellow contenders.
Oh yeah, and some guy from Illinois named Obama or Osama or something like that is running, too. But nobody really cares. Shitty timing for him, picking the same day as Kucinich to announce. Sorry, Hussein.
